Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy at Inner Solutions Counseling Center, focusing on helping adults, adolescents, and families navigate life changes and mental health challenges. The goal of my practice is to provide a safe, empathetic space and bring enthusiasm, compassion, and humor to our work together. My therapeutic approach is highly collaborative, change-oriented and strengths-based. I have over 15 years of direct patient experience and provide treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, grief, life transitions, relationship struggles, LGBTQA, young adult and women’s issues.
Over the last ten years I served as a Psychiatric Clinical Social Worker at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in their outpatient psychiatry clinic. I loved working at the hospital because I saw such a diverse group of people from all over the Chicagoland area. My youngest patient was 14 and my oldest was 86, and I greatly appreciated being a part of their therapeutic work.
I received a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts and Communication from UNC-Greensboro and my Master of Social Work degree at Loyola University in Chicago. My clinical approach centers on several therapeutic modalities, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
Life presents us with all kinds of situations, and like Mister Rogers said sometimes we need another person to help talk things through. I am truly grateful to help others feel less overwhelmed and hopefully make things more manageable.
