As a relationship and sexuality specialist, I work with adult individuals and couples in all stages of life. I help people move beyond old hurtful patterns and wounds to restore intimacy and co-create loving, pleasure-filled relationships.
Individuals and couples learn to communicate more effectively, share heartfelt intimate connection and touch, and rekindle passion.
As a certified sex therapist, I work with adult individuals and couples of all ages to help them heal old wounds from some form of trauma, gain sexual confidence, and enjoy an intimate pleasure-rich life in relationship. Specific sexual concerns include:
• desire discrepancy
• low or no libido
• sexual pain
• erectile problems
• absence of orgasms
• changes related to illness or aging.
Using an integrative approach, I consider the whole person - body, mind, spirit - and utilize mindfulness, body awareness, and other healing methods to assist people in rediscovering joy in life and intimate relationships.
My background and training is extensive. I have been licensed in NC as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2001 and am an AAMFT Clinical Fellow. I went on to complete two years of specialized training and, in 2005, I was certified as a Sex Therapist by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists. I am currently completing the process of becoming an approved Sex Therapy Supervisor.
